Hello Everyone, As you seen my last post about Homemade long gnocchi….here is the recipe how to make gnocchi. I Do put some grated pamerson cheese in my gnocchi it just gives it some taste of cheese into the gnocchi . This gnocchi menu was cooked in burnt butter cholesterol free with thin slices of garlic and fresh sage leaves, chopped semi-tomatoes, baby spinach ,Cracked pepper and when served put some grated parmesan cheese on top with some garlic bread aside, it’s tasty and delicious and the Aroma was beautiful one of the family’s favourite menu on list.

RECIPE
4 pink potatoes
2 cups of plain flour
1 egg
Pinch of salt and pepper
1/4 cup of fine grated parmesan cheese.

METHOD
Step 1
Bring a large pot of pinch of salt in the water to a boil. Peel potatoes and add to pot. Cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain and cool mash with a potato masher.

Step 2
Combine mashed potato, flour,egg, parmesan cheese and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Knead until dough forms into a ball cut the dough in four’s, Shape small portions of the dough into long “snakes”. On a floured surface board , cut snakes into 2cm pieces, gently roll each one on the gnocchi board from top to the end of the board.

Step 3
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Drop in gnocchi and cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until gnocchi have risen to the top; drain and make sure what ever sauce you do put it in straight away and gently
combine well.
